Brian Chapman and Benjamin Davis - Who are these guys, anyway?
Brian Chapman is a composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and sound designer.
He began scoring as a 10 year old, when he began directing and shooting his own stop-motion animated movies. A self taught musician and recordist, Brian seemed to be able to coax music from just about any object. Brian moved from his Louisiana home to Los Angeles in 1988 to pursue a career in music and sound. He soon met John Nau, and they became musical partners in recording and writing for the band Zoo People.
Brian has given much of his professional time to John's Beacon Street Studios in Venice, CA, since it opened in 2001. Here he has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of industry talent, including: Will Ferrell, Meatloaf, Darius Rucker, Richie Sambora, Isaac Hayes, Christina Aguilera, Jeff Rona, Alec Baldwin, Steve Ouimette (Guitar Hero), Terra Naomi, Harry Dean Stanton, Jorma Taccone, Don Was, Jeff Garland, Tim Meadows, David Spader, Chris Parnell, and many, many others. With Beacon founders John Nau and Andrew Feltenstein, Brian has scored oodles (see "zillions") of award winning television commercials and films.
When Brian is not hard at work making his clients’ musical dreams come true, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children at their home in Topanga Canyon.

Benjamin Davis grew up learning classical piano and watching lots of Warner Bros. cartoons. In his youth he became fascinated with all things musical and was inspired to compose and perform original music.
After graduating from Rutgers University with a BA in Music and Political Science, Benjamin developed a disciplined regimen of composing, performing and touring with the band "Piece of Wood", a prototype electronica- thrash hybrid which was known for it's innovative use of sampling with layers of synthesizers accompanied by massive multi-media video performances.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 1994, Benjamin has been a working musician and composer. Benjamin is currently a writer, keyboard player, and producer for the world traveling, conscious hip-hop band Luminaries. The band has released a full length CD called ONE, and have four videos produced by Elevate currently making waves on youtube.
